The Coolest Ice Rink
January 2014
A famous Dutch ice skater called Rintje Ritsma had a dream: making the Olympic Stadium suitable for the NK Skating All-round & Sprint. This plan grew into ‘The Coolest Ice Rink in the Netherlands’, whereby during the entire month of February everybody had the opportunity to try the 400-meter track themselves. The Olympic Stadium is a vulnerable National Monument, and the construction process required enormous ingenuity. And that is exactly why LINK! contacted Coreworks! Special eye-catchers were the Corecurve, a transparent arch stage of 12 x 6 meters, a platform with a tent of 1,000 m2, and a footbridge over the rink.
