Third place in NC headwind cycling

At last, the weather conditions were horrendous enough for the fifth edition of the Dutch Headwind Cycling Championships. This typically Dutch cycling competition across the Oosterscheldekering only takes place in gale force 7 or worse, preferably accompanied by torrential rain. All cyclists have to use the same single-gear Gazelle bike. Team Coreworks competed for the third time running and grabbed the bronze in a time of 19:07:06 minutes, a strong performance by Rob van Overbeek (the very fastest!), Bart van Moorsel, Xander Wiercx and Henk Zautsen. Only Nooitstop and CS010 beat them.

In the individual races Henk van Ham, Guus Lustenhouwer and Dirk van Rijen joined the team of four above and finished with impressive times. Dirk van Rijen was even half a minute faster than in 2014. Check the mysportswebsite for all times and results.

By the way, Coreworks did not just take its best athletes to Neeltje Jans, but of course also its best start and finish structures, 100% stormproof.
