Coreworks sponsors Toon Kooijmans, Victor’s father and a born skater. Toon has skated the Elfstedentocht (11-city skating race) several times and is a veteran multiple national and world champion skater. He left Norwegians, Russians and Germans far behind him, time and time again. Last winter Toon retired from competition skating, but not to sit still. Last weekend this 78-year old diehard covered a route of 115 kilometres through the Ardennes, in the area around Verviers, with a group of skaters and cyclists from Schijndel. Colossal climbs like Chambralles, the Wanne and the Hezalles (infamous for its incline of 23% (!) right from the start) and other mountains were conquered unscathed. Congratulations guys, terrific performance!
