Ground Support

CoreSteel

Rigging points for lighting, technique and set elements, that were suspended above the stage with an elevating work platform until recently, can be mounted to the Coresteel pre-rig frame as needed while it is still lying on the ground. After that, the frame is hoisted up in its entirety. So, some of the motors are suspended above the stage straightaway, resulting in a major time saving for the light and sound company.

Another advantage: the Coresteel grid is strong enough to climb in safely, for example to add more rigging points. For an aluminum grid the possibilities are very limited.

You can see how it works in this film. Shot during the building of Paaspop 2017.
